Windows XP is an operating system that was launched in the year 2001 by the family of Microsoft though the development process had started back in the years of 1990s. The Windows XP came right after the Windows 2000 and Windows ME. The XP stands for the word eXPerience in Windows XP. Windows XP is the first consumer edition of Windows that was not based on MSDOS and upon its release it received critical acclaims. This Windows XP was made in two versions that were the Windows XP Professional and the Windows XP Home. The company focused more on mobility, such as technology. The official Windows XP release was then continued by the release of the Windows XP64-Bit v2002, Windows XP Media Center Edition, and Windows XP 64-Bit v2003. Support for the Microsoft Windows XP came to an end in the year 2014, and after that, the system ceased to receive support or security updates to most of its users. Support for games on Windows XP came to an end in the year 2019 and as of the year 2020 in October, 0.8% of Windows PCs run on Windows XP. Remote Assistance works with the Remote Desktop and helps the users and the corporate desks to handle the remote issue solving process. Internet Connection Firewall is described as a security system which acts as a protecting boundary between the side world and the network according to the Microsoft documentation. This feature protects the system with the help of the filters to block the LAN, VPN, and even dial-up network traffic. The Infrastructure of the Microsoft Windows XP: Prefetching was used by Windows XP to improve the launch time of the startup and application. Windows XP introduced a copy protection system which was known as Windows Product Activation and the server counterpart which was the Windows Server 2003. I too cannot activate any of the 'available devices'. 'Use virtual instruments and effects' checkbox is on (after I re-installed Sibelius 6, it wasn't on, and in that state I did not have any 'available devices' other than IAC driver bus. Which I couldn't activate anyway. Now I also get Sibelius Player, General MIDI, and DLSMusic Device, but I can't click-highlight them, and 'activate' is greyed out). I've been trying to fix this for days and have read a lot of the stuff. Garageband now has 'built-in' audio input and output options checked. I've trashed the PlogueEngine and Playback Configurations folders in /Sibelius Software/Sibelius 6. (Incidentally this folder is now completely empty, is that correct?) I also trashed the folder in /Sibelius Software/Common; and I trashed the .sibelius6.plist file from /Library/Preferences.
